This restored Mid Century Modern Home features privacy, light, and super cool entertainment friendly style.
You know this home has it’s Mid Century soul intact when you see the vintage Nutone Doorbell. From the owner, “Vintage mid-century NuTone Longbell Door Chime Model K32. According to an old NuTone catalog, this was their Continental Model. Three brass longbells design, circa early 1950’s. Famous two-tone ding-dong sound, with decorative middle bell. Ivory colored plastic top cover with brass banding. The mechanism was refurbished in April 2018 – The brass longbells have natural patina surfaces from age but can be refurbished if desired (and I’ve got the guy to do it).”
You’ll fall in love at first step when you enter the open and airy Living Room with Dining El. Huge corner windows reveal tranquil views of the world down below – (you can almost see Dodger Stadium!) and the wood ceilings and floors are warm like a loving embrace. Cozy up to the fireplace and imagine reading your favorite book while sipping a luscious glass of cabernet. You can see the world, but no one can see you. You feel safe.
The Dining El also features floor to nearly ceiling corner windows as well as a vintage Mid Century pendant lamp.
The nifty vintage kitchen features a boss breakfast banquet (with another MCM pendant lamp) and a pass-through to the large family room. Sliding glass doors lead to a perfectly private backyard.
This is one of the best entertainment floor plans I’ve seen. The adults are in the front of the house sipping wine and debating the issues of the day. The kids are in the back, watching movies or horsing around in the secure and private backyard. The food is all laid out in the kitchen and breakfast banquet.
There is a master suite with access to the back, 2018 HVAC system, and a wifi-enabled smart sprinkler system for the gorgeous drought-tolerant landscape. The Rachio Gen 2 Smart Sprinkler controller – WiFi-enabled smart sprinkler system allows for customized schedules, weather-based watering cycles, water usage reports, and integration with other connected home devices.
